The Qutb Shahi dynasty ruled from the city of Golconda, and it was a center for trade and commerce. Not only was it a great diamond market – the kingdom had the only diamond mines in the world – but it was also a great exchange for goods and ideas from all around the medieval world.

In a one-hour virtual tour of the once-gleaming capital city of the Qutb Shahi rulers, we will look at the main ruins today that represent the bazars, the massive stone walls that protected the city and the Diamond Keep – the citadel atop the hill in the center of the town. We will also explore the various stories connected with the city and its fortifications, as well as take a look at how daily life in the medieval capital was!

The immersive experience will be using Google Street View, as well as our proprietary content, including photographs and videos.
